                     Sri Swamiji’s Message on Gurupu:rnima - July 3

            Jai Srimannarayana Priya Bhagavad Bandhu!

Guru is the one who eradicates the inner darkness by his divine grace of knowledge.

He shows us the path of God.
He elevates us from the dirt of this samsa:ra to divine abode.
He teaches us the process of discipline as how to bow before the elders.
He consoles us during the hardships of this life.

We worship our Acharya on this day, which ultimately reaches the Guru of Gurus Sri Ve:da Vyasa.
          Sri Ve:da Vya:sa divided the Holy Ve:das into 4, who composed 18 pura:nas, who wrote 545 Bramha Su:thras
and showed the light of divine wisdom to the world.

Today is Vya:sa Pu:rnima. Let the glory of Acharyas grow like the moonlight on pu:rnima. Sri Ve:da Vya:sas
ideology has been glorified by the great Acharya Bhagavad Ramanujacharya, through his magnum opus
Sri:bha:shyam, the commentary on Bramha Su:thras. That guru’s ideology was strengthened by Sri Manava:la

          Ma:muni.

Today is also the day on which Lord Rangana:ttha offered Himself at the feet of Acharya Manava:la
          Ma:muni

By reciting a slo:ka praising the glory of his Acharya -
          Sri: saile:sa daya: pa:thram dhi: bhkathya:di guna:rnavam,
          Yathi:ndra pravanam vande: ramya ja:ma:tharam munim ||
Thus today is also the birth day of this thaniyan. We are fortunately in the lineage of this Great Manava:la

Ma:muni, who is the Guru of the Lord Rangana:ttha Himself.

We are blessed that Our Holiness Sri Jeeyar Swamy, hooked us to that great lineage. Let us dwell at the
feet of our Acharya Parampara always, like the babies in the warm laps of the Mother.

          Our Mangala:sa:sanams to you all.
