There once lived a king named Pari:kshith. He was
cursed by a sage to die in seven days, for an offence
committed by him. The king learnt about this curse
and regretted his action. He immediately gave up
all worldly affairs and went to seek the ultimate If both are qualitatively the same, then what is the

        - srushti, its purpose and also the qualities of a soul forgets its real identity and quality! That’s how karma

in comparison with those of the Supreme-Soul (God). starts getting accumulated. Just like soot covers light,
                                                             the a:thma jn:ana (soul’s knowledge) gets covered

Both possess an eight-fold knowledge called ashta to be a man, woman, animal, tree, etc. The soul is
guna:virbha:va, the following 8 attributes – actually above all these. As long as the soul is in

        1. apahathapa:pma – not touched by sins a body, the eight-fold knowledge remains covered.
        2. vijaraha – no old age Once it regains its original form, the soul displays its
        3. vimruthyuhu –no death natural qualities again. God, on the other hand, is

        4. viso:kaha – no sorrow not attached to nature and He knows how to control
        5. vijigithsaha –no hunger it. He comes to us and wants us too to realize our true

        7. sathya ka:maha – always wishes for the well teachers always wish to help their pupil, God, out of
being of the world. unlimited kindness always wants to help us in many

never got affected by karma. Why?

So, both - the souls and God are never touched by It is because He comes out acting on His own will and
