                  DEATH FOR ONE,


         DIVINITY FOR THE OTHER

        Maha:bha:ratha - the great war, began. Pa:ndava:s

        and the  Kaurava:s  assembled  at  Kurukshe:thra,
        eager to fight the war. Duryo:dhana, who saw the
        huge  army  of  the  Pa:ndava:s,  was  dismayed  and
        quickly began to analyze the army-strength on both

        bhava:n bhi:shmas cha karnas cha
        krupas cha samithinjayaha |                          Karna,  Krupa:charya,  Aswattha:ma,  Vikarna  and
        aswattha:ma vikarnas cha                             Saumadattha. That is all” He could not find any other
        saumadaththis thatthaiva cha ||                      prominent warrior in his army.

                                                             sarve: yuddha visa:rada:ha ||
        4.  samithinjayaha = the victorious,
        5.  krupaha cha = Krupa:charya, our great teacher

                                                             bahavaha = There are so many
        6.  aswattha:ma = Aswattha:ma the unbeatable son
                                                             anye: cha = others also;
            of yours,
                                                             su:raha =  dynamic leaders
        7.  vikarnaha cha = my brother Vikarna and
                                                             thyaktha ji:vithaha = end their lives
